Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: How much will your services cost me?
A: Zero. Zilch. Nada. My services to you are 100% free* and do not add any cost to your vacation. Additionally, there are No Hidden Costs.
Q: Why would I book with a travel agent instead of booking on my own?
A: Because planning a vacation is stressful. With me, I will do your research, narrow down your search, find the best pricing, and add any extras I think you may need. I will walk you through every step of your journey, through payment plans and final payments to excursions and any extras you may want to add. I will make sure you have everything you need for your vacation at your fingertips. And, if you need to cancel for any reason, I will be the one helping you every step of the way. I work for you and look forward to getting to know you through this journey!
Q: Why is booking with Fairytale Journeys by Monica better than another agency?
A: What sets me apart is my willingness to go above and beyond to understand what type of traveler you are and what makes the most sense for you. I’m not a cookie cutter agent who just sends quotes and recommends the same itinerary to everyone. Every quote is different and personalized to your preferences. I will do the research and find the best option for you each time you travel.
I've traveled to 24 countries in 4 continents. My experience can help guide you to your perfect vacation.
Q: Can booking through an agent get me a cheaper price?
A: By booking through an agent, you get someone to handle all of the planning process for you. We are not able to get discounted pricing, BUT if a promo does come out after you book, I’ll be able to go back in and get you that discount. I’m always looking out for the best deals for my clients.
Q: What all can you book?
A: I can book almost anything for you. I am certified in Disney Destinations, Universal Resorts, Sandals and Beaches Resorts, and most cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean, Disney Cruise Line, and Virgin Voyages. However, if where you want to go isn’t one of those places, I will do the research for you and still work with you on the best options for you and your family. I do not book directly with the airlines but can put airfare in a package. I also don’t book with vacation rentals, such as Home Away or Airbnb.
Q: What if I want to handle some of my own details?
A: Go for it! I can be as hands or as hands off as you need from me. Like I said, every person is different, and everyone’s preferences are different. I can be as flexible as you prefer!
Q: What if I have to cancel?
A: If you think there’s a chance you’ll need to cancel OR if you’re booking more than 6 months out, I would highly recommend buying the travel insurance. It’s not expensive and can save you a load of money if something unforeseen happens in your life.
Q: What if I'm ready to book and you're on a trip?
A: As long as I have access to e-mail, I'll be able to get one of our extremely friendly, talented Fairytale Journeys agents to help get you booked. Don't worry, I'll still be your point of contact through the entire planning process and will guide you the entire way!
Q: I want to go to Disney, but I can’t afford to go regularly.
A: Disney is expensive. I can’t hide that, and I can’t control the prices. What I do know is if you want to go frequently, and that is a goal of yours, I can work up some ideas to make it worth your while. For example, an annual pass may be a better deal for you so you can go twice in a rolling 12-month period. We can also look at less expensive times of year to maximize your Disney experience.
Q: Should I book a Disney Dining plan?
A: It seems most people do choose the dining plan. I personally normally choose not to use it based on our dining habits. We enjoy table service meals and flexibility and to me, the dining plan ties your hands with that. However, at the end of our stays, we have a very big bill. If you book the dining package, you can pay onto your meals all the way up to your vacation and it doesn’t hit you all at once.
